Why isn't YEP among your listed providers? I've used them for several years and have been quite happy with the rate and customer service.

I switched from TXU to Champion Energy Services. Dropped my rate to 8.9 cents / kwh for 12 mths. I also got $25 credit on my first bill for using referral id 0909020002. TXU hit me with a $200 cancellation charge, but I will make that back in the first month and a half. They also have coupon and promo codes, but $25 off up front was still a better deal for me. Champion will also be serving DFW airport next year, so I think they will be around for a while.

Just Energy is a great company to have as an electric company. Our point was only that a 5 year fixed rate last summer did not make sense. We had many people who had spoken with Just Energy about the 5 year rate and we consulted these people in 2008 that called asking if they should sign for 5 years and we told them we didn't believe it was the smart thing to do.

We encourage any Just Energy residential or commercial energy customer to take advantage of blending in the lower market price with the higher 2008 rate rather then considering cancelling your energy contract. It is never a good idea to cancel an electric service agreement.

A 5 year fixed electricity rate makes a lot of sense right now as of August 2009. If you are interested in a 5 year fixed rate please email the Just Energy rep above who appears to be a rep of there's I assume.

The comment from the single mother is an actual comment we received on Mon 6/15/2009 1:10 PM by someone named "Milly" and not a "stooge comment". We have no stooge comments on this site. I felt the comment was a good comment to point out the irrational decisions people make when prices go up and not a dig at Just Energy. In fact any clarification like blending the rate is helpful to provide a better understanding of Just.

In ref. to your digs to Just Energy, why in the hell would anyone cancel their electric????? Why not sign a five yr. contract as now we are experiencing the lowest rates ever? If rates happen to go down, they offer you a program to blend the lower rates into what you signed for!!!! If rates go up, which is what always happens, then you are smart because you're locked into the lower rate!!!!

Oh, in reference to the single mother in Houston, this looks like a fake letter, who spells "way" as in way to high, like: "weigh", this is stooge letter.

In my opinion this is the best Electric Company out there! If you using TXU or anyone else, well, then, that's your fault! Not SMART
