I resently paid a 266.85 bill on less than 900 sq ft very well insulate apt - Was told that Oncor would contact me this coming mon
tues or wed to have someone come out to reread!
I doubt that this will be happening because of the snow and the numerous sections of town out of power.
The most outrageous and ignorant statement I heard on the news was that the people who did not have power please leave the back porch
light on so the techs could see what they were doing- beg pardon-
you don't have electricity but you need to leave the porch light on?
Am I missing something here - This is Oncor who puportedly has legita
mite people reading our meters - God help us all

I had excellent service from Startex power for almost two years, but then when I had them process one simple adjustment to my bill, I entered a month-long hell of emails, phone calls, broken promises, waiting on hold, a termination notice and numerous and unfair collection phone calls. I am still waiting for something in writing that says my account has actually been adjusted as promised. Their Houston office is definitely NOT customer-friendly. One thing I learned is that collection calls are handled by an outside contractor, which means Startex gave my name and number to an outside company without my permission. At this point I am hoping to complete my current two year contract, then look for a company with a more conventional view of customer service.
