Network marketing is a fantastic business model, so is corporate america, but as we have all seen over the years, both have failed miserably time and time again - yet i still see corporations all over the place, and all of them are a pyramid scheme! Let's see, the CEO at the top - you can't have two can you? a CFO/VP or some such 2nd level, then a bunch of the same initials again with "Assistant" added for the third level and keep going......if you try to tell me the custodian has just as much possibility arriving as CEO if he works hard and "follows the plan", I will sell you a bridge!
But I've met custodians who have become wealthy in network marketing, I've met ex-drug addicts and school dropouts too - some super rich, some comfortable.
Y'all can bash MLM or not, the fact remains it works.
Will I join Ambit? Probably, but not sure - have I joined other MLM's, YEP, am I wealthy yet? NOPE - why, cuz I'm sitting here on my ass reading blogs and not sharing the opportunity....hmmm

I have been approached to participate in Ambit, but plan to decline for reasons of my own and not really worth going into. Ambit, all in all, would not suit my lifestyle. Just because it seems simple, easy and generates enthusiasm in others does not mean it has appeal to me. I quietly choose to say thanks, but no.

This has been a GREAT page to read! Thank you to the host, Admin, and thank you to everyone for posting.

Addendum: a musing thought to share. I am recovering from a biological pyramid scheme called a cold. I defined it as being assimilated by the Borg. That fits a Pyramid definition, right?

:) Peace (as much as possible)! Out.

And robert, alot is properly spelled as a lot, two words. I found your poor grammer humurous. Unless you were trying to spell alott, which is the closest single word in the english language to your mistake. Though after review of the words previous and after, it would seem it is a grammatical error, not a spelling one. Although I do fail to see what spelling and grammar have to do with the validity of an electric company, especially one whose past president made many of those.

wow, so many people talking about pyramids. I agree with the whole, if it looks like a duck and acts like a duck and walks like a duck, but i don't go and say call a goose a duck just cus the both fly in triangle. A lot of people are misunderstanding the difference between a pyramid scam and a legitamate corporate business. I see a lot of
1
10
100
10000

but here, let me show you something...
ceo
president
vice president

or a smaller scale..
manager
cashier
bagger

by this "evidence" that so many people get caught up on, wal-mart, H-E-B, lowes, McDonalds, etc, are all also pyramid scams, they keep recruiting burger flippers and cashiers. Also there seems to be a lot of " this person that's high up in the company is bad, so the company must be bad" but we are forgetting that just because of the OJ Simpson incedent, we aren't boycottting the NFL. Oh, and I don't work for ambit or any other mlm company. Honestly, the fact that not everyone in the company are millionaires is not as big an issue as many try to make it. The top jobs in america are run by men, many women are offended because they are not paid what those big-wigs are, but 99.9% of men in america aren't paid that either. Again, I use wal-mart. The ceo of wal-mart is a multi-billionaire, the cashier is paid $8.00 an hour. There are more cashiers than ceos. And to answer the "ambit sells nothing" statements, I resort to the insurance companies. If you have car insurance with statefarm, and an allstate agent says" If you switch to allstate, you'll save money" and you switch, you have the same coverage but you pay a different price. compare to ambit. If you have your electricity provided by CPS, and an ambit represenative says" If you switch to ambit, you'll save money" and you switch, you have the same electricity but pay a different price. If telling a person they can save by switching, then when will the hammer fall on gieco, allstate, statefarm, etc? Or the cable companies? Electricity is a product, as much as insurance or cable. Also, if a person comes to your house and says they are from ambit and ask you for money to SWITCH YOUR ELECTRIC SERVICE they are lying. When you switch your electric service, you will recieve an electric bill, like you normally would, and there is NO CHARGE FOR SWITCHING SERVICE PROVIDERS. The 400 dollars people keep rambling on is to become a consultant, the fee is for the literature and your own personal website. Also you do NOT PAY THAT TO THE PERSON WHO IS SPEAKING TO YOU. If the person says otherwise, they are lying and are scamming you that way. That means that person is running a scam, not the Ambit company. I have seen realtors run the same scam, asking the down payment from a prospective buyer in the form of a personal check or money order madeout to them (or even their company)when said payment is supposed to go to a third party banking institution, or the owner if done as a sale by owner. There is a difference between a company being a scam, and an individual. Please people, if an opinion is true, then back it up with some facts, most posts here are just heresay.

My simple question is how over time can the company be right in its business if is relying on an ever changing price for natural gas.
There was a hedge fund that made billions a few years ago then went bankrupt overnight whe ntheir naat gas position turned against them.
This too requires futures trading to purchase their product which in the end should blow their advantage.
Explain wht I'm wrong.
